Roof and Solar Field for Sedatex

Sedatex1 (1)

With over 130 years of experience at the forefront of the sector, Sedatex SA embarked on an ambitious initiative to integrate renewable energy solutions into its operations. The main challenge was achieving 25% self-consumption across its manufacturing plants, encompassing installations on metal roofs, flat roofs, and vegetated grounds.

Implemented Solutions:

Comprehensive Solar Installation: Proton Future designed and executed a 2,593.6 kWp solar installation across various locations, significantly contributing to reducing the carbon footprint.

Asbestos Removal: To accommodate the necessary capacity, 8,000 m2 of asbestos was removed, ensuring a safe and sustainable environment.

Results and Benefits:

  • Positive Environmental Impact: The installation generated an annual saving of 1,307.2 tons of CO2, contributing to Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Energy Efficiency: A 28% self-consumption rate was achieved, supported by an annual generation of 3,533,005 kWh of renewable energy.
  • Comprehensive Financing: Proton Future financed 100% of the project through a Renting format with private funds and a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
  • Social Initiative: As part of our social commitment, Proton Future donated 10 kWp to low-income families, extending the benefits of sustainable energy.
  • Asbestos Elimination: The removal of asbestos contributed to preserving vegetated land, supported by prefabricated concrete structures.

This project not only significantly improved Sedatex SA’s energy efficiency but also demonstrated the positive impact that renewable energy solutions can have on business operations and the community.
