The City Council of Cabrera de Mar has implemented a rooftop photovoltaic installation to promote the use of renewable energy and reduce the environmental impact of municipal electricity consumption. This project represents a step forward towards a more sustainable local energy model.
The system has a peak power capacity of 22.68 kWp and includes 40 solar panels, generating 27,352 kWh of renewable energy per year. This production results in an annual reduction of 9.05 tons of CO₂, helping to lower the carbon footprint of municipal facilities.
The installation achieves 8% self-consumption, allowing part of the generated energy to be used directly on-site.
