The City Council of Cardedeu has committed to advancing its energy transition by installing a photovoltaic rooftop system designed to reduce municipal electricity consumption and improve the energy self-sufficiency of public facilities.
The project stands out for its high self-consumption rate, ensuring that the energy produced is efficiently used on-site.
With an installed capacity of over 100 kWp and a total of 228 solar panels, the system generates 97,420 kWh of renewable energy per year. This performance also contributes to a significant reduction in emissions, saving 53.28 tons of CO₂ annually, reinforcing the municipality’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
